Parish Council Open Day
T & F Parish Council held an Open Day on Saturday 28th April 2012 in Tatworth Memorial Hall. The event was very well attended by residents who showed great interest in displays on various topic and areas in the parish such as Coombses Pond, Footpaths& Conservation,TGT- the Crop Production project and, most importantly the piece of land that the Council purchased in June 2011. Residents were invited to take part in a small competition to find a name for the land.
Our Member of Parliament, David Laws, was able to find time in his busy schedule to visit and look at the displays as did our County Councillor Jill Shortland.
The main purpose of the event was to consult residents as to how the new land should be developed as an amenity for residents. Residents responses are now being collated and analysed and will be published in the near future.
Visitors to the Open Day enjoyed the free light refreshments in the Cozens Room where many people sat and chatted to friends over coffee, tea and cakes.

Dog Fouling between Post Office Lane and Linkhay
The SSDC, Street Scene Department are very concerned about the number of reports they are receiving about dog fouling in this area of our parish. They believe it may be caused by one dog possibly let out alone late at night.
Officers will be patrolling this area regularly and are considering installing covert CCTV if there is no improvement. Do YOU know who is allowing this to happen ?
