Welcome to the Tatworth and Forton Community Website.  This rural parish is made up of several small hamlets, most of which have been brought closer together by residential development.  There are many attractive properties in this area, ranging from the ancient cob and thatched houses to the modern homes of today. Numerous small businesses operate in and around the area and there are many leisure activities for all ages in this active and forward looking community. The parish lies near to both the Devon and Dorset boundaries and the Axe Valley.  It is situated about 12 miles from the Jurassic coast and surrounded by beautiful countryside.  Stowell Meadow, an ancient watercress meadow that is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (S.S.S.I.) lies within the parish.
