Welcome to the Tatworth and Forton website incorporating South Chard and Perry Street.  This parish is made up of several small hamlets, most of which have been brought closer together by residential development.  There are many attractive properties in this area, ranging from the ancient to the modern homes of today. There are numerous small businesses and many leisure activities for all ages in this active and forward looking community. The parish lies near to both the Devon and Dorset boundaries and the Axe Valley.  It is situated about 12 miles from the Jurassic coast and surrounded by beautiful countryside.  Tatworth and Forton is a Transition Community with its own crop growing project.  Stowell Meadow, an ancient watercress meadow that is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (S.S.S.I.) lies within the parish.
