The Poppe is situated in Tatworth on the A358 and is only 15 minutes or so from the Jurassic coast. There is a large car park and also an attractive beer garden. St John's Church, Tatworth is nearby and the inn offers a pleasant venue for gatherings following events at the church.
The inn has a bar, a lounge and a restaurant, a newly refurbished function room/skittle alley.

Homecooked food is served every day and the selection changes regularly. Come and sample the varied menu that includes tasty dishes such as:

Duck breast with red berry sauce, new potatoes and vegetables
Old English pork sausages, mash, peas and onion gravy
Chicken Tikka with rice, nan, mango chutney and poppadoms

Fresh fish is usually available.
For dessert choose from sticky toffee pudding, spotted dick, strawberry pavlova, a range of icecreams and more.
"Lite bites" are always available and there is a wide range of interesting sandwiches.
This friendly village pub, with delicious home-cooked food is well worth a visit whether you live nearby or are travelling towards the coast.
