Residents Action Group (RAG)

The Residents Action Group (RAG).

RAG was formed in January 2004 and a Parish newsletter, "The Drift", was started soon afterwards, both in response to need identified by the Parish Plan 2002.

RAG is a formal 'umbrella' body with a constitution and a bank account that organises work programmes and projects and seeks funding on behalf of the various project teams. Any resident can join in the work of RAG and give as much or as little time as they wish.

The projects divide into four broad groups: Services and Amenities, Environment, Safety and Security and Transport. RAG projects now include the Community Speedwatch team, this Community Website, two printed collections of walks around the Parish, a Health and Wellbeing Centre with exercise classes, complementary therapies, chiropody and podiatry, occasional health check-ups and healthy living advice sessions.
